Eating Clean- What’s that?

Eat Fresh. Live Healthy.
Eat Fresh. Live Healthy.

Hello, Namaste, Guten Tag to all my readers! Hope some of you have had a wonderful day today and as for the others, waking up to a beautiful morning.

I have been wondering what to post all morning. As I had mentioned before, this is my first blog! Somewhere around noon I was talking to my mother and she asked me what “eating clean” meant. Most people think dieting will do the trick. But once you have lost that unwanted fat, what next? At some point, your body needs to reach and maintain an equilibrium state. You are guessing right readers, eating clean will do the trick!

Why eat more or less of something to keep that calorie count in check when you can be mindful of how that food’s reaching your plate? Its a very simple concept.. consume whole, natural foods versus processed or canned foods. Albeit, some of you may argue that everything we consume is technically processed but that’s not the same as consuming a bag of chips with diet coke when the clock ticks 4pm.

The important thing to avoid is “ultra processed foods”, i.e. anything that comes in a ready-to-eat packet or canned. Ultra processed foods are degraded in nutrients and only ups one’s intake of salt, sugar aka unnecessary calories, leading to numerous health problems.

Clean eating as you might already know is directly associated with a healthy lifestyle. Diets consisting of fruits, vegetables, legumes will help in preventing life long diseases such as diabetes, heart conditions. It also contributes largely to healthy weight management. These are some of the perks of eating natural foods. I can assure you there’s many more and guarantee that all are positive contributions to your body and health.

So now that we know what clean eating is, next time I will be sharing how one can eat clean! So stay tuned 🙂
