Hello Readers! Hope your weekend was exciting and relaxing. Today we will be discussing about greens that are important for your body. Many people know that greens are important but somehow ignore to incorporate it into their diets. Most greens are extremely nutrient dense and extremely healthy! For those of you trying to lose weight, greens should be the number one thing on your grocery list. Greens needn’t be a boring thing to consume. You can incorporate into many different dishes and drinks to keep things interesting 🙂

Here are the important greens to include in your diet:

  • Kale
  • Collard Greens
  • Turnip Greens
  • Swiss Chard
  • Spinach
  • Mustard Greens
  • Broccoli
  • Rapini
  • Red, Green Leaf and Romain Lettuce
  • Cabbage
  • Bok Choy
  • Watercress

All of the above mentioned greens are high in Vitamins & Minerals. They also help in lowering blood sugar levels, cholesterol. According to researchers, adults should be consuming 3 cups of greens a week. That’s not too bad right? You can make green smoothies if you don’t like to chew your greens. Or salads for those of you who like having a light dinner. I hope this post will help you pick up some of the above mentioned greens on your next grocery run! Believe me, its really easy to consume them. You just have to give yourself a little push and a small reminder! 🙂
